Three-Day / Extended Trip

With three days or more, Trimbakeshwar becomes a genuine base for a broader western-Maharashtra experience — combining pilgrimage, hills, wine country and even Shirdi.

A suggested three-day shape

Day 1

Trimbakeshwar itself

Temple, Godavari tank, Brahmagiri and the old town — a full, unhurried first day.

Day 2

Anjaneri & the hills

A day on the trail to Anjaneri or a nearby hill, with a relaxed evening back in town.

Day 3

Nashik & wine country

Nashik city, the riverfront and a half-day among the vineyards — or a full wine-country day if you prefer.

Extending further

Combine Trimbak with Shirdi

A very popular combined pilgrimage. Trimbakeshwar and Shirdi sit in the same region and the trip works well over two or more days, ideally driving west-to-east.

Add Maharashtra fort treks

Several forts lie within day-trip or short multi-day reach, letting an extended trip combine pilgrimage with history and hiking.

Build around Nashik

Use Nashik as an additional base to explore the broader region and wine country without a long return drive each evening.

Before you travel

Arrange transport, accommodation and any local help ahead of time, especially around weekends and festivals. During Kumbh 2027 the region will be exceptionally busy — see the practical guide.
