Itinerary · Two days
Two-Day Trimbak
Two days turn Trimbakeshwar into a proper base — time for the temple, a day up on the hills or across to Anjaneri, and maybe a first taste of Nashik.
Day one — the heart of Trimbak
Morning — temple & ghats
Begin with the temple and the Godavari tank, taking your time with the darshan and the quiet of the ghats.
Lunch — regional food
A simple vegetarian meal and a rest.
Afternoon — Brahmagiri & the source
Walk up to Brahmagiri hill, considered the source of the Godavari, as the centrepiece of the day.
Evening — old town & market
Wander the lanes and market in the relaxed evening.
Day two — a choice of directions
Option A · Anjaneri (recommended)
A fuller day on the trail to Anjaneri, the hill linked with Hanuman in local tradition. Combined with the temple, this gives a satisfyingly rich two-day visit.
Option B · Nashik city
A day in Nashik — temples, the Godavari riverfront and city life. A good balance to the quieter Trimbak days.
Option C · Wine country
Spend the day among the vineyards of the Nashik wine region with tastings and a lunch at an estate.
Option D · Rest & repeat
Use the second day to slow down — return to the ghats, read, reflect, and prepare to travel on. Not every visit needs to be full.
